Carnival glass as a product was first produced in 1908 by the American Company Fenton. It is moulded or pressed glass given an irridescent surface which is quite beautiful.  This lovely vintage brooch has an outer circle of tulip shaped carnival glass beads reflecting blues and purples, with a centre flower head of faceted aurora borealis finished clear crystal beads. Overall dimension is 5cms across set  on to a gold tone back with a fold over clasp. The back is showing light signs of wear but perfect from the front.
